Over the course of 31 days, Long Family Funeral Homes staff members are wearing pink ribbons to demonstrate their support for those who have fought or are currently fighting breast cancer. In the United States, one in eight women will develop breast cancer at some point in their life.

“We’ve all been affected by breast cancer in some way, whether through friends or relatives,” said Greg Long, Owner of Long Family Funeral Homes. “We wanted to show its support during the month of October, but also show support to our surrounding community and those who may be receiving treatment.”

The staff at Long Family Funeral Homes hopes that Breast Cancer Awareness Month not only raises awareness during October, but all year long. Staying vigilant about your health and seeking early detection and action is something people can do year-round.

Thank You
